STACEY DISTERHOF, Secretary & Vice President of Membership Stacey Disterhof knew she was a Republican since her parents took her to a George H. W. Bush rally when she was eight. When he lost, she cried for a week. At twelve, while sporting a Bob Dole for President button, she knew her interest in politics wasn’t fleeting and for the next thirteen years of her life, politics became a mainstay. Stacey is a graduate of Ashland University where she obtained degrees in Economics and Political Science. While at Ashland Stacey served as a three term president of the College Republicans and the “Students for Bush” Chairman. After Stacey graduated, she embarked on a series of adventures in politics (sometimes “misadventures”) that took her to such exotic places as Enfield, Connecticut and Scranton, Pennsylvania. After Stacey realized how much she missed Cleveland, she moved home and got in touch with her old friend, Lisa Stickan, who encouraged her to get involved in the Cleveland YRs.  Stacey is excited to be a part of a growing and dynamic group and can’t wait to see what happens next. Aside from politics, Stacey is a fan of Cleveland Indians baseball, laughing herself stupid over American Idol and giving people unsolicited makeup and skincare advice in Sephora.
