Message from the President

2011 is an exciting year for the Greater Cleveland Young Republicans as we look forward to working within Cuyahoga County on the more than three hundred and seventy local offices up for election this year!  After the victories of 2010, and with the promise of a competitive and exciting Presidential election in 2012, the Republican party is very much alive in northeast Ohio.  It is the mission of the GCYR’s to ,”be an active and effective instrument of the promotion of Republican principles to and for the citizens of the Greater Cleveland area,” and to that end – we hope you will join us as we spend time out in the community with our candidates.  We also spend time each month, meeting and discussing the issues, talking with candidates, and networking with each other.

 

As Americans, we hold sacred our right to self government and it is our intention to promote the freedom, justice, and political equality necessary to enjoy that right.  In my favorite quote from Founding Father Alexander Hamilton,

 

The sacred rights of mankind are not to be rummaged for, among old parchments, or musty records. They are written, as with a sun beam, in the whole volume of human nature, by the hand of the divinity itself; and can never be erased or obscured by mortal power.

 

Please join us, the next generation of leaders in our great nation, as we work with local, regional, state, and national candidates to secure our future freedom, and secure America.
